Ripped from CD and encoded with libfdk_aac, the highest quality open source aac encoder available. Files are simple low-complexity m4a files encoded using maximum VBR and a cutoff frequency of 20k Hz. In short, it will be playable on almost every device and unless you have "golden ears" or a high end audio system, the audio will be transparent to you. You won't be able to tell the difference between this and the actual CD.
